Creativity
In order to make the most out of our ideas, we must be prepared. Inspiration and elements of ideas pop into our heads at all times and need taking a note of to come back to later on for development. Here we have a sketchbook that I try to keep with me all of the time, during journeys, the schools day or when away for a weekend so that when an idea starts, the basics can be noted or sketched. Use your sketchbook when demonstrating in lessons, pupils love to see real ideas that you are clearly passionate about!
Jamble Game:
The JambleD&T Game was initially developed to assist pupils in interacting with and discussing past and present products. This developed further into a timed activity linked to the new D&T curriculum and Bloom's Taxonomy. Pupils roll a dice featuring J-A-M-B-L-E, choose one of the two options on the Hex cards and turn over a product card. Pupils can then discuss, sketch and model possible developments and outcomes. The cards have also been used separately to help KS4 and 5 students in the development stage of their coursework.

Jamble50:
Jamble50 has been created to provide a resource that offers a range of activities to help pupils create and develop ideas. For the last few years I have focussed on producing small activities that can be placed at each table that will enable pupils to sketch without fixating on the traditional form of a product. I have put together 50 activities that feature QR codes that will link to videos of each task being performed. If purchased, further files will become available to assist in the individual tasks.
